My Stories

I write adventures for those in search of a good story. My novels fall in the Fantasy genre, but many people consider them Sci-fi too. Each story is written with what I look for when I read a book: action, adventure, twists and turns, love, heroes, vicious enemies, fighting (weapons and hand to hand combat). I write because I want to share the stories that are inside of me. I hope you enjoy the adventures as much as I love writing them!

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays!  It's such a crazy time of year, all the emotions (some good, some bad), all the things that must get done, all the things that still need to get done, people to visit, people to greet, places to go...  and all of this on top of everything that you're already responsible for.   I know how overwhelming it can feel.  Which is why I like today.  For me, today is a day to relax and enjoy the moment.  Just breathing and letting the chaos of the world fall away.   This year I do owe pleasantness of today, to the fact that yesterday was a good day.  Everyone was so grateful for those that were around them.  My kids were able to spend more time with me than usual on Christmas which I think was a huge part of it.  I am so blessed to have children who are simply amazing.  They are so kind and loving, especially on Christmas.

My writer's world has been on hold for the reasons above along with a few other things.  Which unfortunately makes everything else more difficult for me.  So unfortunately, I don't have any updates for you.  There were somethings that have been on my mind lately.

Firstly, I discovered by accident that I had comments on some older blogs that I knew nothing about.  This made me feel so horrible, because I never replied to these people.  Apparently if an anonymous person leaves a comment I wasn't get any notification.  I only discovered that I had comments because I was clicking was in my setting and accidentally clicked on something which revealed to me all these comments I had.  So if you were one of those people, I am deeply sorry.  I wanted you to know that I was not ignoring you on purpose, I just never saw the comments.  I do love having conversations with people (I might not be good at it anymore, but I do enjoy responding to peoples comments).

Secondly, I would like to let those of you who buy books from me via craft show or email to know that you can rate/leave a review on Amazon and/or Apple.  If you enjoy my stories, I would very much appreciate it if you would rate/review my stories at either or both locations.  This helps other people decide to take a chance on my stories as well.  ðŸ˜Š   And believe it or not, it helps encourage me to not give up.

Oh and my daughter animation for the season.  It's short and adorable and she used one of my favorite songs (Let it Snow).  I was teasing her about it being so short because I wanted it longer since she chose that song.  Anyways here's a link to her animation.

Story 10

I am so excited! I have a title for the next book I will be publishing! (Or, at least, I think I do. Hahahahaha) If all things go well, I should be able to give it to my editors in January! As the title shouted its name at me, I realized there was a little more that I needed to add to the story, and as soon as I am happy with this information addition it will be ready!  Yes, this is sometimes how the title is revealed to me. I'll be re-reading the manuscript and it shouts loudly in my head. Other times it comes to me in the middle of the night, jumps off the page as I am reading/writing it, and every great once in awhile I know it as I start the story. Anyways, just wanted to share that I am 99% positive I have the title for Story 10, which at the moment will be the longest book I've published so far.  As of right now it is 30,000 words longer than "The Shadow Dragon: Darkness".   I hope it's not too long.   Although I suppose my editors might have opinions about this, so I shall wait and see.    Hope you're have as wonderful of a day as I am in my writer's world!   😊

And the busyness ensues

This time of year is always crazy busy, with the holidays (and all that they bring) and not having a lot of time to write.   Anyways, I am sorry it took me so long to blog here again.

Had a simply beautiful day at Eisenhower HS. Not only did I sell more books than any event I’ve been to, but the people were awesome.  I met so many wonderful people, and people I hadn’t expected to see showed up. Truly an amazing day that left me feeling loved and blessed.  ðŸ˜Š

I am still re-reading story 10.  I'm getting to the area that I feel needs the most work so I'm trying to find time where I won't be interrupted for a few hours.  I'm also being haunted by a story that I can't see yet.  This hasn't happened to me before.  I can feel the urge to write it and feel all the emotions and confidence of the story and characters, but I've not seen or dreamt anything to get me started.   On one hand its a good thing because I have so much else I want to work on, but on the other...  I don't like it all (it's rather distracting).

I know this post doesn't have a lot in it, but I didn't want to not post anything.  (This is part of the problem I am having with the unseen story in my head.  My thoughts are kind of stuck, or on hold?  Not sure how to explain it.)

Oh!  If you want to check out a project my daughter recently finished.  It's about 37seconds.  I personally love the way it flows from one thing to the next.  Here's the link.

Have a wonderful day!
