My Stories

I write adventures for those in search of a good story. My novels fall in the Fantasy genre, but many people consider them Sci-fi too. Each story is written with what I look for when I read a book: action, adventure, twists and turns, love, heroes, vicious enemies, fighting (weapons and hand to hand combat). I write because I want to share the stories that are inside of me. I hope you enjoy the adventures as much as I love writing them!

Well I am very happy with my book sales at Romeo High School's craft show.  I love the people I get to talk to there, both other vendor's and the people shopping.  It's always a wonderful experience to meet people who love to read and people who love to write.   💞   Talking with these people keeps me excited about writing!  I can't wait to do another show!

Yes, I have been doing a lot of writing and revising.  I have one book (Story 13) being looked at by a final editor, and then I get to figure out when the book will be out.   I also have two other stories almost ready for the editing process.  One is definitely closer (story 16)  than the other (story 21), but they are both done... done as in I'm only adding information so the reader will have a better opportunity to be able to see what I see and the characters are getting more depth, but both stories have a beginning, middle, end.  So with any luck I'll have three stories out over the next year or so.  Yeah!!

The Shadow Dragon (Book 3): Darkness

Darkness was released today July 31st!  This makes it my tenth book published.  I never imagined when I started writing Taken that I would ever publish anything, and here I am 10 finished books later!!  So excited!

I just checked, and it is at iBooks, Amazon, Smashwords, and Kobo, but not Barnes&Nobles (I would expect it to be up soon - not everything can go smoothly).  Anyways, here's the description:

I thought I understood the difference between good and evil, and that my knowledge of the sword would keep me safe. However, my eyes have been opened to those who want to rid the world of me, and nothing is how it seemed. I never could have imagined that there was more to fear than Ceeaira and Marty, but in the wake of Aleksertac’s vow, the dangers have increased ten fold. The Ancients, the Dark Forces, the dragons, and all who want a piece of what Aleksertac now covets are becoming bolder, and alliances are being made. My skills and determination have already been put to the test. How much longer can I really survive in a world with creatures that contain abilities I have never imagined? Aleksertac has been crucial to my survival this far, but will his power be strong enough to fight against them all? Will my spirit have the strength to survive the power that resides within him? I want to believe we can survive, but how long can Light endure Darkness?

Darkness

Have you read The Shadow Dragon: Orbs of Fire

How about The Shadow Dragon: Aleksertac

Why do I ask?

On July 31st, 2016, the long awaited book three will be released!!!  (I may be a tad bit excited)  I know this is a year later than I had originally hoped, but I am much happier with it.  What's the title you ask?

The Shadow Dragon (BOOK 3):

Okay, yes, I am very excited... and nervous.

Have you ever seen Disney's Tangled?  You know the part when she leaves the tower for the first time, where she's ecstatic one moment and anxious the next?

I did not come up with the above pic, but wow, does it depict me pretty much every time I release a book... or finish a story... or write...anything.

Anyways I hope you have enjoyed the The Shadow Dragon so far and love this next book!

Facebook

I realize that I am horrible at blogging.  It seems the best way to see what I am up to is to check out my Facebook page (Click here).  I will still post here, but as you can see I don't update often, but on Facebook I can just post a picture, or a something quick.  Here I feel obligated to write more than a few lines.  So if your interested, that's where to find me.  You can post on my posts or send me messages, I love hearing from people.

I am currently doing what I hope is the final read through for The Shadow Dragon book 3, and have been editing Story 16 (this story is almost done as far as getting ideas out).   The last couple of weeks have been anything but normal for me so I haven't done as much work as I would have liked.   As soon as I finish fixing the revisions from my editors, my niece who is almost finished reading Aleksertac (for the first time) is going to read through it and if she and my son approve then I will send Book 3 to copyright and it will be out this summer.  I still want to split the book up (it is currently 138,901words), to me it seems like it should be and not just because of how long it is.  However, that is a question I am posing to them as well.  So I will keep you updated on that.  Either way it should be out this summer  (I know, finally!)  With that being said, I am going to get back to that story!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  I hope 2016 brings you many adventures and smiles!  I am pretty excited about this year.

In my writers world it is looking very promising.  The Huntsman's Daughter has had a wonderful first month... Not JK Rowling awesome, but for me awesome!  I finished story 10 on New Year's Eve!  It's not done, but it has a beginning, middle, and end.  As of right now, it is at 112,254words.  I am hoping to get Book 3 (The Shadow Dragon) published soon. I know - it was supposed to be published last summer.  Once I get the edited manuscript back it will be my top priority.  I also have 2 other stories which are very close to being finished.  So that would be awesome if I can get those done soon too.  I am looking forward to selling at more craft shows.  This has become my favorite way of selling books.  I really enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories of why they love to read, their hopes of becoming an author, or how happy they are to be speaking with someone who is doing what they love.  It is so cool to see peoples eyes light up when they are talking about their ideas and thoughts that they hold dear to their hearts.

I think my favorite part of January is the optimism of the coming year.  I know the year will have times that will drag me down, but I don't know them, I don't feel them in my soul.  I just know that, right now, I am excited about what I can accomplish for my health, my family, my friends, people I haven't met yet, the books I can finish, the anticipation of stories I haven't yet created, the places I will go...

And yes I am so very excited about the movies coming out this year!  So many hero movies!  Woo Hoo!
