Lost is something Karissa has never been…until she met
Jack. He awakened a truth that Omatha
had never allowed, causing Karissa to enter into uncharted territory. Even
with all her experience she is left struggling to find her way. She cannot fathom the events that have
occurred. Events that have left her struggling
with an inflicted weakness, battling those who want to collect the bounty on
her life, fighting against a new evil, and through it all trying to figure out
how she can keep Jack safe. Will Karissa
be able to protect Jack from the evils that are hunting her without destroying
him herself?
My Stories
I write adventures for those in search of a good story. My novels fall in the Fantasy genre, but many people consider them Sci-fi too. Each story is written with what I look for when I read a book: action, adventure, twists and turns, love, heroes, vicious enemies, fighting (weapons and hand to hand combat). I write because I want to share the stories that are inside of me. I hope you enjoy the adventures as much as I love writing them!

Less than 6 weeks!!
Less than six weeks left until the release of "Solace(book 2): Lost"!! I just wanted to share the description for the story:
Tuesday, January 15, 2013
Just ordered what I hope is the last proof for my first story to be published as an actual book: Solace: Uncharted Territory! I am pleased with the cover, but I decided to read it again and found some errors that I couldn't ignore. So I fixed them and I'm going to re-read it one more time just to appease my worrying self, and then it should be set to go. I am also going to upload the revisions to the ebook as well. I'm sorry that I did not see them when I originally published the story.
Solace: Lost is still on target for the March ebook release. I will eventually put this story into book form as well. I hope by the end of the year to have all my books in book form, mostly because I want to put them on my shelf reserved for books I love to read. I still fall in love with the characters when I read my own books just like the other books that are among my favorites. Perhaps that's because I can't believe that the story was written by me. You would think that with the amount of time I've put into reading and re-reading to get the story the way I want it that I wouldn't want to look at it ever again. But it's just not the case, I love these stories. I love the adventure, and the relationship that grows between the characters.
My editors still have the next book that I will have a release countdown for. I am really excited about this book. I don't know what to tell you about it... other than it took a life of its own after an idea I had while I was practicing Tai Chi. It wasn't really a story idea, but here I am with a book that as of right now is 115,575words (again research says a novel is about 60,000words). So, we'll see what happens after my editors get a look at it.
I have also finished the guts to an adult story, which means my kids will have to wait until they're 18. If I decide to even publish it. I have a friend who is going to take a look at it for me and make sure it isn't as bad as I'm afraid it is. Not that I don't like it - the story is great, but maybe I shouldn't try to go into the adult playground - it is still in it's roughest form, none the less I've never written a bedroom scene. Whatever possessed me to try, I have no idea. So we will have to wait and see what happens with that.
I guess that's covers my author news. Life is a whirlwind right now and I'm just trying to keep up, keep smiling, and keep loving each and every blessing in my life.

A New Year
Last year I epublished four books. A feat that I am quite proud of. So what's in store for this year? This year I already have one book with a release date, one with my editors, three that I'm preparing for soft cover, and six other stories in the works. Will all six of those stories make it out this year? I have no idea, but it would be cool if they did. One of the stories is the third book to The Shadow Dragon series. Another will not become an ebook because of the way I wrote it (fonts are limited in the ebook world) so to avoid confusion I'm going to keep it the way I wrote it and use the Print On Demand service. I have four all knew adventures that I am enjoying writing and are nearing completion. According to my computer I have eleven stories in all and that does not include sequels. Unfortunately my days lack enough time to write as much as I would like, so I do what I can in my spare time and try to stay focused on writing adventures that people will enjoy reading as much as I do writing it.
As of recently I've been recieving emails from people telling me how much they have enjoyed one of my books. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate those emails. Writing in itself fulfills so much in my life, but to know that my stories are keeping people entertained is far beyond what I could have expected. For those of you who have been reading my blogs or know me, you know that taking the step to put my first book out there was a giant step for me, and I really didn't expect much (but I did hoped that others would read it). Starting my first book was just going to be journaling a dream I had, but then it took a life of its own and I ended up with two books (Taken). Once I started book two, I began another story that I worked on at the same time (this is the book that will go straight to soft cover), and from there I haven't been able to stop writing. I am always in awe that I have been able to put together these stories. When I read them, I honestly cannot believe that I wrote them and I thank the Lord for blessing me with the courage to try and the talent to continue.
So for the new year, I hope that this blessing of writing continues to flow. I hope that I will compete the stories I've started and begin new stories for all to enjoy. I hope that my children will continue to be proud of what I have accomplished, and learn to never give up on their dreams.
