I, of course, love the book, but then I wouldn't publish a story if I didn't love it. My daughter who read Adventurer's Spirit a little while ago (one of the perks of being my kid is you get to read unpublished work 😄) told me it's her favorite. She liked it even more than the The Shadow Dragon series and Project 21! I honestly wasn't sure that it was possible to write something she would like more than The Shadow Dragon series. 😊 She really likes Project 21, but she likes it as much as The Shadow Dragon, whereas she has stated this is her favorite book. I - needing clarification because I couldn't believe it - said, "You mean you like it more than The Shadow Dragon" and she replied, "Oh, yes."
This is an adventure story. (Obviously). In my opinion, what makes this story interesting is the relationship between Jared and Alyxandra. They are two different races from the same world, who have very different cultures. Their relationship begins when they meet by chance while they are children, impacting them both beyond their understanding. As their lives continue to entwine and their friendship strengthens, a darkness is growing within the world they both live.
